Studio Jams are studio-wide events for students of all levels to come listen, learn and play music WITH each other. Rock and folk jams, Irish sessions, hootenannies - however it's called - these informal music gatherings are my favorite way of playing and learning new music and meeting friends.
This is a chance for us to celebrate the accomplishments - big or small - of all my young violin students. Friends and family are welcome to join us for this special occasion. We’ll spend the first part of the time showcasing a few of our long-standing students and also include early beginners working on their Pre-Cabbage Songs.
After the showcase, we’ll start a jam circle and do an abbreviated session similar to our previous ones. I’ll pick a couple tunes for us to play with and invite a few of my musical friends to sit in with us again. Any musical family and friends are welcome to bring instruments and join in with us.
Our 2nd Jam of the season. A wonderful opportunity to once again gather and play music WITH each other. I have invited some of my musical buddies to come and jam with us - guitarist, pianists, bassist, and more - so it will be like playing with a band! This comes close to St. Patrick's Day so may be filled with a few Irish inspired tunes!
